B. In Door Patient department :
Nephrology ward has 30 beds, 4 bedded HDU and one Isolation room. Wards are attended by DM Nephrology residents and post MBBS Junior residents round the clock. Procedures like Bedside USG, Bedside Kidney biopsy, Assessment of AV Fistula, Bedside Urine microscopy; Acute cycler Peritoneal dialysis and CAPD are performed routinely. Procedure room is equipped with portable USG.
C. Kidney transplant unit :
Kidney transplant unit has 5 beds at present and equipped with ventilator and dialysis facility. 20 bed kidney transplant unit construction work is under process which is going to complete soon. KTU is attended by DM Nephrology residents, nursing officers and transplant coordinators round the clock. Both live and deceased donor kidney transplant has been started at AIIMS Raipur.
D. Hemodialysis unit :
Hemodialysis unit is equipped with state of art , 21 Hemodialysis machines including 4 machines in trauma and emergency and 2 CRRT machines . Unit performs Intermittent HD, SLED, CRRT, SCUF, Plasmaphaeresis, Hemoperfusion and pediatric HD Routinely.
E. Peritoneal Dialysis unit :
PD unit has 4 dedicated beds for CAPD and Acute PD including 4 automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) cyclers. Continuous training of patients and attendants takes place in the unit.
F. Minor operation Theatre :
Following procedures are being performed on routine basis in minor OT at A block.
1. Tunneled dialysis catheter insertion- USG guided Fluroscopy internal jugular or femoral catheter placement done under local anesthesia.
2. CAPD catheter insertion by percutaneous and mini laprotomy approach.
3. AV fistula- Radio-cephalic and Brachio-cephalic fistulas are being made in suitable patients.
G. Academics, Research and Training :
Regular academics and teaching activites are conducted for DM Nephrology residents, Dialysis Technicians, Dialysis Nurses. Various trials, research, intramural and extra mural projects are going on presently in the department. Training sessions are conducted for medical specialists, medical officers and community medical officers of Chhattisgarh on a regular basis.

iii. Resistant Hypertension Clinic.
